Ferdinand Koci is a Roma, Meckar, from Albania - and well known in Leeds where he has previously exhibited during Gypsy Roma Traveller History Month 2008 and 2009 and shown his impressive skills in schools in the area.
He has exhibited all over Europe - in Albania, Yugoslavia, Italy, Poland, France, Spain and now exhibits in Leeds once more at Seven Artspace. The exhibition has been organised by Gypsy Roma Traveller Achievement Service as part of Leeds' Gypsy Roma Traveller History Month celebrations.

Ferdinand has won the Beaux Artes competition in Clermont Ferrand in France and has a growing international reputation. His passion for making images drove him to become the first Rom to attend the School of Art at the University of Tirana and later to become a professional artist. His work frequently portrays his Roma heritage, exploring the everyday contradictions between socialist equality and age-old marginalisation.
