Romipen during their sell out concert performance at the Seven Theatre, Chapel Allerton in Leeds on Friday 27th June 2008.

Their rich experiences drawn from many-years performing with many different ensembles makes their performance original, authentic and highly professional.

The programe features original melodies and dances from the Roma villages of Slovakia, Hungary and Romania, which are all professionally arranged and feature the unique Roma style of playing on the violin, the viola, the double bass and the cimbalom.

The ensemble consists of two sections: Gypsy band of Marek Konček (Cigánska kapela Mareka Končeka ) and solo dancers Vlado Michalko and Linda Luptakova.

Romipen flew to Leeds from Slovakia for the Arts week and held brillaint workshops with schools during the day and a series of concerts over the week they were here.
